Women should have rights same as men, and they should do what they want to. That's
the main focus of this movie.
Rani (Tannishtha Chatterjee) is a widow who married her young son Gulab (Riddhi
Sen) to a neighbourhood village girl Janaki (Leher Khan). Lajjo (Radhika Apte) is
a childless woman in an abusive marriage. Bijli (Surveen Chawla) is a local dancer
who gets farmed out for money by her handler. They all are living a parched life.
They are all victims of age-old traditions like child marriage, physical abuse,
alcoholic husbands and social apathy.
